Nindo: Way of the Ninja NindoAd-1

Three hundred years ago a Shinobi by the name of Naruto Uzumaki brought an end to one of the most villainous beings in existence, a man who went by the name of Madara Uchiha or his alias, Tobi. This man planned on bringing the world to peace just as most people wished for yet the process of doing so was believed to be wrong by every country in the Shinobi world. As the Kage and Madara’s armies clashed in the Fourth Great Shinobi War, Naruto Uzumaki along with his friends faced Madara himself in a final showdown where he was brought to justice in a grand battle. Not only was Naruto Uzumaki a hero, but he managed to prove how worthy he was of the title ‘Hokage’ and soon after the period known as the Reign of Peace commenced. However as all people know, humans are evil by nature and from the beginning of time they could never be trusted. Evil was like a disease that could spread generation to generation and this time, hundreds of years after Naruto’s peace, proved no different. It began with the eleventh Hokage to rule, a mysterious man whose identity stayed a secret to even the most important of all the officers. Things began to change as an audience with the Fire Shogun brought a new era of time, a new reign that quickly became known as the time of war as Konohagakure and the Land of Fire started doing the unthinkable… The conquering of all the shinobi countries. With everyone's morals being questioned and their Nindo are being throwing out the window can you keep a hold of your ninja way?

Maybe once your site is gains more members, posts, etc, we'll affiliate, but right now, it looks like I won't gain anything from affiliating with you. ^.^; Sorry if I sound rude or anything.

...how does that make any sense? If I don't affiliate with people, I can't get members. -_- Besides that, its still in its finishing stages and I was kind enough to affiliate with you so I would hope you would return the favor and not be selfish.

Affiliation is where two prominent sites advertise for each other so both can benefit. I'm not going to just feed people into your site and not get anything out of it. In fact, most of my members were referred by myself, had nothing to do with the affiliates. Before you call me selfish, take a look of what you're asking here. You have 7 members and 140 posts so far, what am I to gain from this? I did say that once you get more, members, I'll be fine with it; but, if you're going to be rude about it, you can forget it.

You can drop the sarcasm. Honestly, if you can't gain members without an affiliate to leech off of, there's a problem. Your disrespect is uncalled for, and next time, it will not be tolerated.

How does that make any sense? If I don't go around advertising on other sites, I would never obtain any new members? I am so baffled by what your thought-process is. Do you expect me to go around and instead of openly advertising between sites sneak behind your back and recruit people in the PMs and just ask others? Besides that being completely wrong and malicious its ineffective. You apparently, and I don't mean to offend by saying this, have no idea how the advertising actually works. It has nothing to do with what you gain or loss its just about being friendly and spreading the word of other roleplaying sites. I have honestly never met someone who treats ROLEPLAYING like some sleazy business and always expects some kind of benefit.

There are sites out there that allow smaller boards to affiliate with them and DON'T expect anything from them, like RPG Directory. They are a prime example of how advertising should work between sites like these.

Anyways, I am not going to take down your affiliate on my site, so when I do get new members they'll know to check out BEOO. ^-^

Never said I went on other sites to recruit people, I actually have a lot of friends who RP, invited them from fb and Mobion. Probably shouldn't assume things like that, it makes you look like an idiot. If being friendly means that I'm going to throw all my members to other sites, I'll just get right on that. Cool story.

I'm just trying to keep things going around here, if you don't like it, you can leave.

I get that you don't like me because of how I run things, but how I run things is evidently more effective, given the fact that we're top 6 after a couple months, so don't judge k? ^_^

Top 6 on Forumotion? Besides the fact that forumotion is one of the least used forums for roleplaying, you can't say that its that much of an accomplish, k?

I never said that you went around to other sites, just giving you an example of one of the other ways to do it if you don't have many friends who roleplay or, at least, do not roleplay Naruto. So you assumed about me assuming...so it kind of shows who the idiot is there, right? Smile Also who said that you were THROWING your members at me? Its their choice if they want to go to my site or not, you aren't making them do anything. What gives you the right to decide where they are allowed to go roleplay or not? LMFAO!

Again with the assuming... Mugetsu I like you, you seem like a pretty awesome person and how you are running the site is amazing (hence why I am still here, when I barely like Bleach) but the whole 'unless I get benefits from affiliate, I won't do it' is kind of bullshit? I came here expecting a friendly affiliate with you because I like the site and you shoot me down because you won't GET anything out of the deal? I guess it just shows what kind of person you really are.

Are you seriously trying to put me on a guilt trip? xDD Acting so butthurt is going to make everyone here, not even want to look at your site, just saying.

CAPITALIZING words doesn't really make it any more valid by the way. O.o Kinda just makes it look like you're getting emotional over a trivial matter. At this point, you should really be trying to save face. Your seemingly reasonble words have a heavy undertone of anger and malice. People will see through it.

Ok. I was writing up a post to help clear this up. But this has gotten a bit out of hand. Mugetsu. Please refrain from posting in this topic for now. I'm going to attempt to handle this as I said I would. Now please, just back off. ^_^ We don't need things escalating any further. Takeshi. Let's talk. I'll explain things to you so you can understand better where Mugetsu is coming from. Please, let's end this back and forth now.

...well I just deleted my three-paragraph long explanation about what was wrong with Mugetsu's last post but seeing as she has retreated somewhere else, I guess there would be no point in posting it.

Eon, there is nothing more for you to say either to be honest, seeing as I understand completely from where Mugetsu is coming from. That does not mean that I necessarily agree with what she is doing or that it is right, denying an advertisement based on the fact that my site is new. Which is what my problem is... She is treating roleplaying like its a competition or some kind of business and unless she would benefit from affiliating, she won't do it. Roleplayers are a community and are meant to be connected with one another and not expect any sort of benefits. If anything, the benefits are meant to be just a bonus from affiliating, not what you expect in the first place.

Alright. Takeshi. I understand your just trying to get more members. I understand how hard it can be to get some. However, there is no need in arguing about a Head Admin's decision. It does not end well.

Mugetsu wishes for a mutualistic type of relationship. One where both sites benefit. Not a commensalistic relationship where one benefits and the other doesn't. Sure, some sites are commensalistic. However, we are not. You can give examples of those that are if you want, but those sites are not EoO.

There is a simple fix here. You suggested sites that are commensalistic, so advertise on those types. Mugetsu just wishes for your site to grow some more and become more active so she doesn't end up Affiliating with a site that ends up dying before it really even starts. There is also a simple of way doing an advertisements. Go to advertisements of sites that have already been advertised. Expand outward more.

As I said, Mugetsu just does not want to end up in a dead end Affiliation. She wants to be sure both sites are capable of prospering from the Affiliation, and by the look of things, it won't really happen at the moment. Just get your site to grow some more and become more active then she will most likely be happy to Affiliate with you.

I know that its not a business or anything but a place to have fun. However, without mutually beneficial Affiliation, one or the other tends to die off anyways. I should know, I've been on hundreds of rp sites all the way from forumotion to invision free to proboards. Usually those that don't benefit from an advertisement end up on the downside of things. With a mutually beneficial affiliation, both sites are capable of blooming to an even greater level. Mugetsu would prefer a mutualistic relationship than a commenalistic relationship that way both sites are able to benefit and have fun.

So, I added the standards of affiliation to the "Affiliation Rules" topic. They aren't that harsh imo. I reached that in a little under a week with this site when it first started. If you are still interested in affiliation, I'll keep an eye on your site, and once it reaches the standards, I'll post your banner on the sidebar, as long as ours in somewhere on your homepage as well.

I know, Eon. I was supposed to let you take care of this, but it doesn't look like he's going to respond. I don't feel like raging anymore, I get that I wasn't explaining my intentions properly, so yeah.
