Hunting the Hunter [Open -- Rapid-fire]

Ichigo had been about to try and deflect Konchu's darts with a quick swing of Zangetsu, but it turned out that he had not needed to, as the darts were mysteriously blown away. Now, with his guard down, he failed to notice the purple-coloured gas that Konchu had expelled into the air. He did not know it yet, but he had already breathed in the noxious fumes from being so close to Konchu. His arms and legs suddenly went numb, and he fell to the ground with a startled expression, as if he could not quite grasp what was going on. Soon after, his whole body became numb and he could not move. Shit... he thought as he lie helpless on the floor, wondering when the effects of the gas would go away. It could not last too long, could it?

Rouge Shinigami, Hei/Li Shengshun



Seeing his attack miss Hei quickly drew back his dagger and noted that there had been yet another Hunter who had seemingly come to her aid, a strange bird like humanoid. It seemed as though all the enemy parties had an animal like feature to them, upon hearing the screech he covered his ears with his hands in an attempt to muffle the noise; Then he saw the poison smoke, fortunately though since he donned a mask he couldn't breath it in and was there for unaffected by it. While holding this position Hei shunpoed outside the building to stand on a broken section of the roof to avoid further harm to his hearing, once the screech had died down he decided he would be better off outside so he could attempt to cut one of the Hunters off if they managed to escape, so he stood on guard waiting to see just what would happen next.

However the bird like woman had managed to pass him by completely, apparently exiting the building using an exit which Hei did not currently have his eyes on. He cursed silently under his breath and turned attention to the other female left, he waited a couple of minutes before he aimed his dagger at her back through the hole in the roof from which she had entered and launched it forward. If the dagger became caught in the woman he would attempt yet another electric shock to stun the woman and prevent her from getting away, however if it missed Hei would quickly recoil his dagger before throwing it back down at the woman, following up with his second dagger; The second dagger was thrown in such a way that it would attempt to loop around the woman and capture her so he could render her unable to escape by using a shock.

As soon as the screeching began Shuuhei covered his ears, it was a deafening noise but it soon subsided and he could focus on the task at hand; Though seeing the new comer he knew right now they had no means of escaping to patrol the area and keep guard for any new threats, so right now they were forced to wait and attack when needed. The poison smoke made the young captain turn round and cover Kizomaru's mouth with one of his hands to prevent her from being affected though by the time they had seen it coming they had known to hold their breath, the other hand covered his own mouth to help aid his efforts.

When it was blown away by the kido they both released their held breath and Shuuhei uncovered their mouths, his right hand returning to the hilt of Kazeshini and gripping onto it tightly. Seeing Ichigo fall unconscious due to the poison gas Shuuhei cursed, he drew his blade and shunpoed directly in front of Konchu, planning to defend the substitute since he could not defend himself.
